Description

Z-Uno 2 Shield is a configurable multipurpose Z-Wave device. It can act as a sensor, as an actor or as a gate to popular buses like UART/RS-485/1-Wire and others. Z-Uno 2 Shield inherits the flexibilityof Z-Uno and at the same time is very easy to use. It was designed to simplify Z-Uno usage in many typical installations. Being included in a Z-Wave controller Z-Uno 2 Shield will be detected as several sensors/actors depending on the configuration (each in it’s own end point, also called channel). No soldering required!Z-Uno 2 Shield is very easy to wire. It allows to connect many smart home actors and sensors out of the box:Four 0-10 V analog outputs — control industrial dimmersUp to four PWM or switch outputs (up to 5 A per channel) — control contactors, switches, halogen bulbs or LED stripsUp to eight digital 0/3 V inputs or outputs — connect various low voltage digital sensors and actorsUp to four digital 0/3, 0/5 or 0/12 V digital or analog inputs — connect industrial 10 V sensors or any Arduino-compatible sensorRS485 or UART — for industrial metersOneWire — for DS18B20 or other sensorsFor those who still want to solder something there is a bread board for your additional components. No programming required! We have created the Z-Uno Shield Configurator that will not only help you to wire your Z-Uno Shield correctly, but will also write the Z-Uno sketch for you. Most popular cases are covered by this tool. You can still modify the generated code or write your own sketch.Z-Uno Shield Configurator allows to create:Dimmers and BlindsSwitches, Sirens, Valve controls and Door locksSensorsThermostatsZ-Uno Shield comes in DIN-rail case or Sealed case and have terminal strips for easy connection.

When you need more than just a sensor and a couple Arduino clones for your Home Automation project. The Z-Uno 2 from Z-Wave.me can fill the gap for just about any need that you can think of and even more that you haven’t thought of yet. This is easy to use with a web based configurator page that all you have to do is select the type of device you want it to be, such as a thermostat , switch, dimmer, input, output etc, etc, the combinations are almost limitless. For example let’s say you want to measure voltage you can select different ranges such as 0-5V, 0-10V and others as well. You can use the serial port, 1-wire, I2C, and more to transfer data into and out of this little marvel. So after you have configured it online you then simply transfer the custom sketch as is using the easy to use Arduino IDE that upload your sketch to the board. But wait, there’s more. Using the Arduino IDE you can modify and extend the capabilities even further. I have not found the limit of what this can do. If you get stuck on how to implement a certain feature they have an awesome Forum that is dedicated to this device. The Z-UNO 2 is made by Z-Wave.me which is also the web address where you can find more information on all the items of Z-Wave.me
