This is the 3rd bed alarm we've purchased. If there is an elderly person in your family who might be prone to a fall when getting out of bed, this is certainly a device your should consider. We have found them to work reliably since buying our first one. We find them to work, on average, about a year+. The non-replaceable (as far as I can tell) battery embedded in the pad placed on the bed last about 12 months. Thus, a new bed alarm purchase is required.A note on reliability - These bed alarms have always worked flawlessly out of the box. However, the one we most recently purchased, in Dec. '18 - would not work after going through all steps necessary to make it operational. This process was repeated a number of times before finally calling the manufacturer's 800#. This did not resolve the issue either. We were, therefore, instructed to contact the seller to make arrangements for return. We did so and the seller, Liberty Health Supply, was most helpful and saw that we promptly received a replacement. Appreciated!Because this device has proven so helpful - and reliable in the past - we continue to recommend it to anyone who has a need. It's $100 well-spent.
