I have been a big fan and long time user of Shubb capos. They are well made, work like a dream and they don't stick out on your guitar neck like spring loaded clip types. The only draw backs to a Shubb is that they are a bit heavy and they do require 2 hands. This new Fender capo is light weight, only requires one hand to put on or remove and nothing sticks out . It's made of plastic but seems durable. It probably won't outlast my Shubbs, but it is an ingenious design that I am really enjoying. One person complained it didn't feel secure enough, but I don't find that to be true. It's gentle on the guitar neck, but yet secure and just tight enough .****UPDATE***** Feb 2014I just bought the new Shubb deluxe which is lighter weight than the original. The Fender capo works fine on my electrics but doesn't clamp tight enough on my new acoustic. I'm back to Shubb.
